Que les fêtes commencent
L’Acadie a été fondée en 1704, mais il semble que le Roi avait signé l’automne avant. Naturellement, il y a eu une célébration de ce grand jour, et à Fontainebleau!
De l’article «Lancement des Fêtes du 400e de l'Acadie à Fontainebleau» j’ai appris plus :
Une cérémonie spéciale a eu lieu au château de Fontainebleau, au sud de Paris, afin de reconstituer la signature, le 8 novembre 1603 par le roi Henri IV, de la Commission royale autorisant Pierre Dugua, sieur de Mons, à fonder la colonie française de l'Acadie. (lire la suite)
Je vois qu’il me faut ajouter une catégorie « Acadie 400 ans ». Vive l’Acadie.

You're probably already aware of this, but your blog is in French. =o)
I had a dream the other night where, in the dream, I woke up and I went to my computer and all of my e-mail and my bloggery was in Hebrew. Now, I took two years of Hebrew when I was a little gayboi, but now I'm all grown up (if 21 is grown up...) and don't remember a lick of it. I was mortified.
Hopefully, the same thing hasn't happened to you out here in reality and that you actually know French and meant for this to French. Can you imagine that? Oh, suckage. Off to Spanish class I go! peace!
